GO WILD IN THE PA WILDS: PROWL THE SPROUL WITH KTA

Will you join us for Prowl the Sproul this year?

From July 18 to 20, 2014, join KTA hike leaders and DCNR foresters for an unforgettable weekend of day-hiking (“prowling”) the Sproul State Forest in the PA Wilds.

The largest in the state forest system, the Sproul covers 305,450 acres, or slightly more than 476 square miles, and features steep, rugged hillsides cut by the West Branch Susquehanna River and its tributaries.

If you’d like to camp and eat with us at the hospitable Western Clinton Sportsmen’s Association, register by the close of business on July 1 ($95 per person for the full weekend package). If you just want to hike (1 to 3 days) with us, pay your $20 registration fee (KTA member price) anytime between now and July 18! Children’s and à la carte rates are also available.

Finally, more experienced hikers might consider joining the Donut Hole Trail (DHT) Slackpack during this 3-day weekend—transportation, guides, meals, camping, and a commemorative T-shirt are included in the $225 DHT Slackpack registration fee.
