Fundamentals of Fracking Workshop

KTA is holding a free "Fundamentals of Fracking" workshop from 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, October 12, at Doubling Gap Center in Cumberland County. The workshop will cover the fundamentals of fracking (from the basics of what it is and how it works), current policy (and what we think it should be), the social, environmental, and recreational impacts of gas drilling and exploration (i.e., on water quality, hiking trails, public health, birding, hunting, and other environmental and ecological concerns), and advocacy tools - so you can help KTA spread the message of responsible drilling to all corners of the state! This workshop is free and open to the general public, but limited to 50 participants. A complimentary bagged lunch is included for those who register before October 4.
