Meet Scott Lippy, 60, Super Hike Participant from Hanover, PA:
Scott says the biggest reason he has been enjoying hiking and trail running for the past seven years is because it is an opportunity to meet people from all different walks of life and the chance to reconnect with some once a year at different events. In fact, this year he will be hiking the SSH with a lot of friends he has made on the trails through events and always seems to convince a friend or relative into giving it a try at least once. He has done three Super Hikes and even completed the 2011 hike with a friend three weeks after it was cancelled due to weather simply because he couldn’t stand to wear the t-shirt without actually completing it! Scott leaves us with some advice: “Get out on the trails, enjoy what’s out there for you, mother nature’s finest, tranquility, time to reflect, physical fitness, camaraderie, young, old, fast, slow, thick or thin, it’s all out there waiting for you to enjoy!”
