Between Saturday, May 25, 2013 and Sunday, June 02, 2013, our goal is to offer 100 organized hikes and walks throughout the state of Pennsylvania, and we need your help -- the help of our member clubs throughout the state -- to do this! This is a terrific opportunity to build your local club's membership, by exposing nearby hikers (veteran and novice) to your hiking or trail maintaining club. Add one, two or three of your already-scheduled hikes to the online calendar, or submit hikes that are specially-designed for Hiking Week - it's your choice! Although longer, gut-buster hikes are welcome, shorter, easier and 'beginner' hikes, intended for children, families, and those new to the realm of hiking, are also highly desirable. This annual event is the Pennsylvania hiking community's big chance each year to get the word out about why hiking is such a terrific activity - and to get folks on trails that they might not already know about!
