The Publications Committee is beginning the process of updating the Pennsylvania Hiking Trails guide. The committee is searching for individuals who wish to either serve as regional editors or assistant regional editors by checking specific trail conditions and routes. Interested candidates or questions should be directed to Wayne Gross, Publications Committee Chair, at wegseg@msn.com.
The Committee is also seeking photographs of trails from throughout the Commonwealth to be used in the guide. The photographs must have been taken from the trails or of landmarks along the trails. We are looking for a variety of scenes from various vistas, trail maintenance activities, shelters, flora and fauna, and the trail during all four seasons. Credit will be given to all photographers. Photographs for Pennsylvania Hiking Trails should be submitted before August 1st, 2013 to ktaadmin@verizon.net or mailed to 101 N. Front Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101. Please indicate the location of photo (name of trail and any landmarks, vistas, etc. visible in the photo), along with your contact information. Thank you for your help!
