Membership Renewal Time

Keystone Trails Association supports and provides a wide range of activities, including trail preservation and maintenance, advocacy at the state and local levels, local hiking club support, hiking opportunities and membership services.

KTA assigns revenue generated from different sources to support targeted activities.  For example, KTA utilizes the contributions received in response to our quarterly appeals to fund trail maintenance and advocacy work.  KTA will continue to work hard to secure access for our trails in the future, while maintaining them in the present, and hopefully our quarterly appeals will raise the necessary revenues to fund those efforts.

Your membership contributions, on the other hand, directly support the costs of maintaining and improving the membership services KTA has to offer.  Membership services include, but are not limited to, KTA’s website, www.kta-hike.org, the monthly digital newsletter, The Keystone Hiker, discounts on maps and guidebooks, discounts on registration fees for our hiking weekends, and access to extensive information about Pennsylvania’s great trails.

Unfortunately, membership contributions now lag behind the cost of providing these, and other, valuable membership services.  When KTA falls short on membership contributions, we are forced to divert money from other important areas in order to sustain membership services.

Our good work cannot continue without your help.  This year, please consider increasing your contribution level to Trail Builder, Blaze Painter or Brush Cutter, as appropriate, to further support our membership services.   If you find it more convenient to renew on-line, please visit www.kta-hike.org.  Thank you for your generous support, and enjoy your next hike in the beauty of Penn’s woods.
