Dave took the Challenge. Will you?

Dave Julian hails from York, Pennsylvania, and has been hiking for about 51 of his 52 years on this planet! He enjoys hiking because "[it] is not just a physical activity. It's an opportunity to explore new places and discover the beauty of our natural surroundings, which are sometimes overlooked and under appreciated. It also provides a wonderful environment to further develop bonds with family or friends."

The majority of his hikes thus far have taken place in other states - and countries - not in Pennsylvania. When Dave heard about the KTA 100-Mile Trail Challenge, he decided to challenge himself to hike 100 miles in his home state. He stated, "Even though I enjoy hiking in places far beyond our local borders, many similar adventures can be found near our own homes!" He's taking the opportunity this summer to explore some of Pennsylvania's most scenic footpaths, including Rickett's Glen, Michaux state Forest, and trails along the Susquehanna River.
