Hello hikers,
The fall Slate Run Ramble will be on Sunday, October 9. Those interested in attending should arrive at the DCNR parking lot in Slate Run, PA before 9:00 am. The hike will begin at 9:00 am and proceed into the afternoon. The length of the hike will be approximately 10 to 12 miles. This hike will include the Jerald North Side Trail, the Black Forest Trail, and the Wood and Childs’ Trail. The hike will conclude by descending into Slate Run via the Black Forest Trail with brief stops at some of the great vistas overlooking Slate Run. Due to the steep terrain in the Pine Creek Valley, the hike is considered strenuous/difficult. For more information, please contact the Tiadaghton State Forest at 570-753-5409 or FD12@PA.GOV.
