KTA has received two desks and two computers for our new office from Computer Ministry. Located in Mechanicsburg, Computer Ministry accepts computers and peripherals for recycling, then refurbishes and distributes them to charities and the needy all over the world. KTA has received 3 file cabinets, will receive another 2 shortly, and a small refrigerator from Colt Plumbing. Thank you to Rob Shaw, a volunteer leader for KTA's Trail Challenge (formerly The Susquehanna Super Hike and Ultra Trail Run), and employee of Colt Plumbing, in Mechanicsburg, PA.
Do you have a table and chairs to spare?
As most of you (hopefully) have learned, KTA moved its office to Mechanicsburg in January when we learned that our lease in Harrisburg would end. KTA's Executive Director, Joe Neville, found a space on E Main St in Mechanicsburg that would not only hold the KTA archives, publications, and staff offices, it's inviting for walk-in traffic, offers room for club and committee meetings, and there's a spacious back room perfect for board meetings. Once there is furniture in there.
We hope that our members may help us obtain a table and chairs for our board. The space will be open to other club's meetings as well, should you wish to use it. Please reach out to shaxby@kta-hike.org in either case.
