SUNDAY HUNTING

by Joe Neville, KTA Executive Director

At the 2015 Fall Meeting, the KTA Board and Council voted to once again oppose any expansion of Sunday Hunting. The question was raised because there is a serious and determined attempt by the National Rifle Association to open the door to more Sunday hunting.

KTA is asking for your help in addressing this issue. We’d appreciate all clubs and members to write to their elected officials (both Pennsylvania House and Senate) to voice your opposition. Information on where to write or e-mail your local legislators can be found here: http://www.legis.state.pa.us/.

In December, KTA staff visited virtually all offices of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and delivered letters of opposition and talking points to the members. However, it is imperative that the members hear from you—their constituents. If you need assistance with drafting a letter or talking points, please feel free to call KTA at 717-238-7017 or e-mail Joe at jneville@kta-hike.org.
