ONE SPACE LEFT FOR KTA HIKING TRIP TO NEWFOUNDLAND

by Paul Shaw, KTA Board of Directors, Vice President

Treks & Trails International and KTA have organized a fundraising hiking trip to Newfoundland, Canada, on July 8-17. Group Leader Paul Shaw (KTA vice president and co-owner of Treks & Trails) advises that one space remains for a woman interested in hiking the beautiful East Coast Trail in Newfoundland but who doesn’t have a travel companion. This person will be sharing a room with another solo woman throughout the trip.

We will hike some of the best portions of the East Coast Trail, averaging 6 to 10 miles per day from our comfortable accommodations in St. John’s (Newfoundland’s capital), Torbay, and Pouch Cove. The itinerary provides ample time to explore these communities and includes an incredible zodiac raft visit with migrating humpback whales, as well as a visit to the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, home to North America’s largest puffin colony.

The nearly all-inclusive price of $3,395 includes round-trip airfare from Harrisburg International Airport. All net proceeds benefit KTA. For an application or more information, contact Paul Shaw at 717-215-8339 or pshaw@ptd.net.
