CELEBRATE THE 80TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE HORSE-SHOE TRAIL

Join the Horse-Shoe Trail Conservancy, members of local hiking groups and the general public on these hikes and this ride.

 

The four hikes will be: moderate in pace, suitable for children 8 and over (but no dogs) and we’ll end the hikes with cider and cookies.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8 – 1:30 p.m.

 

 

Eastern Hike (Chester & Berks Counties)

St. Peter’s Village to Hopewell Furnace (6 mile shuttle hike) Come early and tour Hopewell Furnace north of French Creek State Park. We’ll shuttle east to scenic St. Peter’s Village (excellent pastries at St. Peter’s Bakery) then walk back through woods and hills to Hopewell.

Directions:

From the intersection of Routes 23 and 345 in northern Chester County, drive north on Route 345 for 4 miles to Hopewell Furnace on left. OR from Route 422 drive south on Route 345 to Hopewell Furnace and turn right.
