A WALK IN THE WOODS

by Dan Glass

Many of you have read A Walk in the Woods.  This book has been regarded as either a humorous account of a "buddy journey" hiking north on the Appalachian Trail, or as a story of 2 guys who really didn’t belong on any trail (for lack of both physical endurance and Leave No Trace ethics).

Like Cheryl Strayed’s Wild, this book has became a movie, to which the hiking community -- using social media -- has responded with fear for unprepared hikers taking to America’s megatrails.

Whichever side you are on, you can see this movie on September 2, 2015, when Broad Green Pictures, Robert Redford, and Director Ken Kwapis adapt this story for the silver screen. The film also stars Nick Nolte as the unique Katz, along with Emma Thompson, Mary Steenburgen, Nick Offerman, and Kristen Schaal.
