SPEAKER’S BUREAU
The KTA strives to develop a network of knowledgeable and dedicated speakers who are able to give presentations on topics of interest to the hiking community, including travelogues with slideshows, backpacking and hiking topics, trail building and maintenance, advocacy, environmental and conservation issues, natural history, wildlife, and volunteerism and outreach.
HISTORIAN/ ARCHIVIST
Would you like to help preserve the KTA’s history? Help us collect, organize, and share the precious photographs, documents, newsletters, and historical narratives that make up the KTA’s long and exciting journey as Pennsylvania’s only statewide hiking organization.
STUDENT INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Are you a current graduate or undergraduate student—or even a recent college graduate—seeking to gain additional real-world experience and complete your résumé and job portfolio? If so, consider an internship with the KTA. Although all KTA internships are unpaid, the wealth of experience you will receive will be well worth your time spent with us! All majors welcome, especially those in Communications, Marketing, English, IT, Computer Programming/Web Development, Humanities, Social Work, Public Policy, and Environmental Studies. Depending on your experience and career goals, you may choose from a variety of project or program options or work together with us to put your own ideas in motion. We offer flexible scheduling and a relaxed work environment! If you are interested in interning with KTA in 2015, please contact us soon to set up an interview. We are able to accept 1 to 2 interns per semester.
