TRAIL CARE VOLUNTEER AWARDS

by Ed Lawrence, Trail Care Chair

The individuals listed below -- volunteers who participated in multiple trail care events over this past year -- aren't seeking a standing ovation. They enjoy the camaraderie they experience when working as part of a trail crew. They take pride in being able to hike back to the car on a trail they spent the day improving, knowing that they are doing their part to help keep alive Pennsylvania’s hiking tradition.

These volunteers are the glue that holds together KTA’s Trail Care Program. These men and women can be counted on to show up and do whatever needs to be done, whether it’s digging a hole for a new sign, running the brush-cutter, painting blazes, lopping back overgrowth, or cutting through blow-downs.

KTA, and the entire Pennsylvania trail community, benefits from the hard work of these individuals:

I invite you to come out to a Code Orange work day, a Trail Care weekend, or join a week-long crew and give these folks a hand during our 2015 Trail Care Season!
