THE RESULTS ARE IN!

Congratulations to everyone who finished either the 23.4-mile Susquehanna Super Hike or the 29.6-mile Ultra Trail Run on Saturday, September 6! With high heat and humidity—and an afternoon thunderstorm to spice things up—all participants (whether they finished the course or not) should be commended for their grit and determination! This year’s event had 475 registrants, 388 starters, and 307 finishers.

And, now, what we’ve all been waiting for—the first finishers! Drum roll, please:

Susquehanna Super Hike

• First male finisher, at 4:45:09: Andy Warfel, age 43, from Elizabethtown, PA
• First female finisher, at 4:55:07: Amy McCullough, age 32, from Seven Valleys, PA
• 205 total finishers

Ultra Trail Run

• First male finisher, at 5:42:02: James Rayburn, age 52, from Dallastown, PA
• First female finisher, at 6:29:37: Lisbeth Kelley, age 25, from Lancaster, PA
• 102 total finishers

A huge thank-you to Pretzel City Sports and our timing station volunteers for their crucial role in this year’s event! They didn’t stop—even when the rain was pouring down, the thunder was booming, and the “rain canopy” failed to keep even one square inch of their station dry. They, too, should be commended for their grit and determination!
