Thank you so much for the work that your crews have done on the Allegheny Front Trail (AFT) over the past few years. I was fortunate enough to be able to spend 3.5 days out there last week (just after the crews left). My friend Jenn and I were able to easily navigate the entire circuit thanks to the bright and consistent blazing. I remember how spotty the old blazing was and am thrilled at the progress the trail has made.
We met a man and his dog who were completing their loop and also a pair of Amish brothers on their way around. Everyone talked about the great condition of the trail (even when the weather conditions were less than ideal). On our last day, we also met a couple from the Philly area who were hiking a few sections of the trail. I think that the AFT will see so much more use once its reputation recovers from the days of hikers getting lost.
I came home more inspired than ever to make it out to a trail crew and help give back to the trails that give me so much peace and happiness. Thanks again!
